Hello, I am Phyllis Bruso Romine, a.k.a., Grandma Phyllis. I have been painting for the past 12 years primarily here in the Vermont area. I am a 72 year old grandma of two, who named me. My accomplishments are numerous in the art field and I have received numerous ribbons and awards on my work. I was the opening resident artist 2003, of the Mad River Valley Art Festival and I was also invited to participate in the Fletcher Farm Art Festival. I have been the resident artist at the Addison County Fair and Field Days in the Homes and Gardens Department for the past 5 years.

My work is compared to Grandma Moses also of Vermont. My art consists of acrylic paint on canvas, metal, wood and slate and I specialize in Maple Syrup Sap Buckets that are obsolete and no longer used by the local Sugar Houses.

My interests are in the rural and farm areas of America. The farmer, because of my heritage, is my passion. My family especially my spouse, sons and grandchildren are the loves of my life and my greatest supporters.
